Grade III students captivated the audience with their insightful reflections and intriguing facts about the festival. Rudra Yadav of Grade IV recited an eloquent poem, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Dussehra.
Ms. Brajesh enlightened everyone with a logical explanation behind the reasons for celebrating the festivals of Navratri and Dussehra. The school choir, under the expert guidance of Ms. Soma, the music teacher, presented a soul-stirring Durga Stuti. Students from Grades I and II, led by Aasmilan Kaur, paid homage to Goddess Durga with a graceful dance performance set to a melodious Bengali song.
Festivals are a time of celebration, bringing peace and joy to everyone. They offer a meaningful way to express and honor our glorious heritage, culture, and traditions. Our tiny tots embraced Navratri with great enthusiasm! The girls wore gorgeous lehengas, while the boys looked dashing in smart churidar kurtas. Students and teachers swayed to the festive beats of Garba and Dandiya songs, twirling their colorful dandiya sticks in celebration.
In a commendable effort to promote environmental sustainability, the school opted to forgo the traditional burning of Ravana. Instead, they introduced a creative dart game, where students symbolically aimed at Ravana to dispel negative thoughts from their minds. The celebration was a resounding success, leaving every child with cherished memories!
