Personalized Education Approach
Hillwoods Academy’s personalized education through the Hillwoods Know Your Child (HKYC) program identifies and caters to each student’s unique learning style. Grounded in child psychology, HKYC uses play-based analysis to classify students as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or tactile learners. This approach enhances engagement, understanding, and academic achievement, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and development.
Healthy Habits
Fostering Excellence Through Healthy Habits
At Hillwoods Academy, we cultivate good habits to help students become responsible, empathetic, and robust individuals. From caring for the school environment to promoting physical fitness, we emphasize the importance of small, positive actions. Unique habits like eating fruits and expressing emotions politely are part of daily routines, while the Expressions! project teaches emotional regulation. Discipline is viewed as a tool for developing organizational skills and good habits, ensuring efficient use of resources and time. Healthy habits form the foundation for growth and prosperity.
Reading
Is highly encouraged from a young age as the readers of today shall become the thinkers of tomorrow. We have a well stocked children library comprising both physical and digital books. These are very appealing to the students and are also child friendly. Along with reading we also diligently work on the other essential skills of listening, speaking and writing.
The activity room
Is a colourful and happy place for our children to delightfully play in. It is also a place where students learn fine motor skills and the value of sharing as well as giving space to others.
Music room
Is a haven for musical notes and for our children to sing uninhibitedly! For our Nursery and KinderGarten students we have especially compiled a song list which introduces them to rhymes and songs from around the world.
The student-teacher ratio
Boasts of individual attention and care. This also happens to be our USP! Each child is like a wonderful little caterpillar for us and we shall help him/her to metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly! The values we provide will give them roots and the imagination and ideas will give them wings to fly!
Sports
Classes are conducted both outdoors and indoors. The all year round indoors facility comprises basketball, football, athletics to name a few. There are also board games like chess, carrom, ludo etc.
Discipline
Is seen as a liberatorator rather than an oppressor, that helps us to function better and to inculcate values which our students imbibe to become the best versions of themselves.
