Festival of Colours- Holi Celebtation!

Hillwoods Academy Noida commemorated Holi with a vibrant assembly on 15th March '24 for Pre-Nur to Grade-3 students.The festivities commenced with a melodious performance by the school choir, rendering the popular Holi song -"Chalo Hato Chedo Na Nand lal"

Students then offered prayers and shared thought and amazing facts about Holi. Ms. Shilpa and Ms. Jyoti enlightened everyone with the festival's significance and eco friendly celebration methods.

A captivating skit by the teachers depicting the legends behind Holi celebration further enriched the students. The young stars of Nursery and kindergarten then enthralled everyone with their energetic dance performance to lively Holi Songs.

Our HM ma'am addressed the students, elaborating on the theme of our inaugural school magazine,"colours of life", emphasizing the importance of colours in our lives. Children were also shown video related to why we celebrate Holi? and they also participated in a creative card making activity.

The joyous celebration culminated in a vibrant display of colours as students playfully threw flowers at each other, creating a memorable and delightful Holi experience for all.

A Picnic for Toddlers-7th March'2024

A picnic for toddlers was organised at Hillwoods Academy, Noida on 7th March at the central park of sector 122 in Noida. It was a day filled with excitement and fun for students and teachers alike. The event aimed to foster camaraderie, promote outdoor learning, and provide a refreshing break from routine academics. Various activities were organized to engage the enthusiastic participants.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the spirit of unity and joy exhibited by all participants. Students bonded with their peers and teachers, fostering a sense of belonging and school pride! Such experiences not only enhance a student's holistic development but also strengthen the school community. For many students their favourite part was the fun filled school bus ride!

KHO KHO MATCH-16th February 2024

"Hillwoods Academy Kho Kho Championship: Excitement and Sportsmanship Reign!"

On February 16th, 2024, our school buzzed with excitement as grades- I, II and III students took to the field for a thrilling Kho Kho match. Divided into two teams- Team Shivika and Team Avni, the atmosphere was charged with cheers and joy.

Team Avni won the toss and chose to run first. Sportsmanship spirit shone brightly as both teams gave their best, showcasing skillfull running and agile chasing. In the end, Team Avni emerged victorious but all the participants played exceptionally great.
Special recognition was bestowed upon the individual stars by our HM ma'am :
Best Runner- Avni malik of Grade III and Shivika Sachan of Grade II
Best Chaser- Rudra Yadav of Grade III
Best Player- Abhi Yadav of Grade III
To motivate every participant sweets were distributed, leaving a sweet ending to a memorable day. This Kho Kho championship not only crowned champions but also fostered a spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship and a love for healthy competition.

Basant Panchami- 14th February 2024

"The vibrant hues of spring begins to paint the world, as we usher in the joyous festival of Basant Panchami".

Hillwoods Academy Noida vibrated with joy and festivity as we celebrated Basant Panchami with great zeal. Ms. Soma spearheaded the special assembly to mark this occasion.

Our HM ma'am, teachers and students worshiped goddess Maa Saraswati by offering prayers and flowers, seeking her blessings. The air resonated with melodious tune as the school choir led by Ms. Soma presented a soulful Saraswati Vandana based on Raag 'Kedar'. Adding to the vibrancy the Nursery and Kindergarten students delivered a wonderful performance on the song 'Maa Saraswati Sharde'. Grade I students enthralled everyone with their insightful presentation on Basant Panchami fascinating facts. Aditri, dressed as goddess Saraswati personified the spirit of the festival. Ms. Neha then shared the light on significance and importance of how Basanat Panchami marks the start of the spring season.

In the end 'boondi prasad' was offered to all the students, teachers and support staff which was enjoyed by all with delight. Basant Panchami celebration left everyone brimming with cultural richness and spiritual warmth.

PTM -3 February'24

On 3rd February'24, our school buzzed with excitement, as an engaging and interactive parent's meet was held on the school campus. The day unfolded in two sessions- morning and afternoon session.

The morning session was held for the parents of Pre - Nursery, Nursery and Kindergarten students, while the afternoon session consisted of the parents of students of Grades I to III. They were all welcomed warmly by Ms. Saumya and Ms. Brajesh. Our little shining stars of KG, filled the air with joy as they welcomed the audience with a heartwarming welcome song. Ms. Ayushi, the school coordinator, introduced the dedicated management, teaching and support staff of the school to ensure that parents could connect with them whenever required. After that, they were whisked away on a delightful visual journey by Ms. Shilpa. The captivating Powerpoint presentation gave a glimpse of all the school happenings of the last two months . Alisha's parents were given a token of appreciation by our HM ma'am, for being Star parents. Their commitment to following all the rules ofthe school was greatly appreciated. Aasmilan’s parents were also honored for assisting the school in getting admissions.

This was followed by the students of Kindergarten proudly showcasing their dance skills with an energetic performance on the song - Indiawale. Pupils of Grades- I, II and III, performed on the same song with panache during the afternoon meet.Both the dance performances were choreographed by our P.E teacher, Ms.Minakshi and the performances were greeted with a lot of cheer and applause.

The welcome song sung during the afternoon session was mentored by Ms. Soma,our music teacher. Our students sang the rendition of Nawjawan with pride and confidence.

After the performances, a delectable spread of masala chai and cookies awaited the parents.

The PTM aimed to foster collaboration between parents and teachers. We delved into each child's progress, identifying areas where we can collectively support them in their academic as well as personal growth.

CRICKET MATCH! 27th January 2024

Hillwoods Academy, Noida hosted a fun filled and nail biting cricket match on January 27 '2024! The atmosphere was electrifying as the enthusiastic participants geared up to play and were divided into two teams. Under the guidance of Ms. Minakshi, the sports teacher, the event kicked off with a lively dance performance by K.G. students on the song "Indiawaale" Ms. Brajesh compered the event and charmed the audience with her wit and humour. The two teams were led by Rudra Yadav of Grade III and Prateek Swain of Grade II as their respective captains.

Team Rudra won the toss and chose to bowl first, securing 5 wickets and making a total of 15 runs. Team Prateek, with 7 wickets, also reached a total of 15 runs. The match, spanning five overs, was enjoyed by students and teachers alike.

HM Ma'am extended her best wishes to both the teams before the match, and congratulated them afterwards. There was a complete hush as the audience anticipated the results. The following students were awarded certificates and titles:

Republic Day Special Assembly 2024

Hillwoods Academy, Noida marked 75th Republic Day with a special assembly led by Grade -I,II and III students.The assembly began with a delightful English poem recited by Shivika Sachan of Grade II.It was followed by Aaradhya Sharma and Prateek Swain of Grade II sharing their thoughts about Republic Day. Rudra Yadav of Grade III enlightened everyone about childern's rights in the constitution.

Adding the musicial touch, our school choir presented an inspiring patriotic song, titled "Nawjawan" under the able guidance of Ms.Soma. Ms.Ayushi and Ms.Brajesh emphasized the significance of Republic Day, sharing historical insights and intriguing facts. The video presentation- A walk through the history, was beneficial in understanding how India transformed into a Republic. It was followed by a engaging quiz for students of Grade I,II and III.

The assembly concluded on a inspiring note with a motivational speech by HM ma'am and the rendition of the National Anthem.

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL- 22nd December 2023

Festive cheer filled the air at Hillwoods Academy, Noida on 22nd December,2023 as the school hosted a delightful Christmas carnival. The day began with the special assembly dedicated to the spirit of Christmas. Children learned about the significance of Christmas and nativity of Jesus Christ and the School choir melodiously sang traditional carols.

To add to the merriment teachers had set up a vibrant array of game stalls. From the classic "Hit the Target" and "Spot the nose of Santa" to the brain teasing "Puzzle Solving" and the exciting "Bowling Alley", there was something for everyone. Students laughter and cheers echoed through the campus as they enthusiastically participated in the games.

But the fun didn't stop there! To satiate the rumbling tummies, delicious chocolate sandwiches and bhelpuri were served. The aroma of these treats wafted through the air, further enhancing our celebration. Children faces lit up with pure joy and excitement as Santa distributed gifts to each one of them. The sight of their beaming smiles was a heart-warming reminder of the magic of Christmas!

The Hillwoods Academy's Christmas carnival was a day of celebration and learning, reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas.

CONFLUENCE- 16th December 2023

A yuletide spirit filled the air as Hillwoods Academy Noida hosted Confluence 2023, an inter school festival brimming with talent and camaraderie. Students from Delhi Public School, Noida , Raghav Global School, Father Agnel School , Hillwoods Academy, Delhi and Hillwoods Academy, Greater Noida converged for a day of friendly competition and artistic expression.

The stage lit up with vibrant hues of imagination in the Fancy dress competition for Nursery and Kindergarten students. Grade II and III showcased their musical prowess in the carol singing karaoke and their literary minds in English Extempore. Grade I, II and III showed their poetic skills in Hindi Poem Recitation.

Gracing the occasion as the esteemed judges were Ms.Bhagwati Bisht from Army Public School,Noida and Ms. Shalini Agarwal from Somerville School, Noida.

Ms. Bhagwati's expertise guided us in selection of the winners of the competitions Fancy Dress, Carol Singing(karaoke), Hindi Poem Recitation and English Extempore. Following are the winners-

ANNUAL FUNCTION- COLOURS OF LIFE! 9th December 2023

Hillwoods Academy, Noida hosted its inaugural annual function on 9th December, 2023 with great enthusiasm! The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Gayatri Luthra.
The programme commenced with a plantation ceremony in the front lawn, signifying growth and progress. The grand evening began with a warm welcome of the chief guest followed by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony. This was followed by a soul stirring rendition of the Ganesh Vandana by the school choir, setting the tone for a memorable evening.
Our Headmistress ma'am presented the annual report, highlighting the academic achievements and various initiatives undertaken during the year. This was followed by a series of captivating performances by students that showcased their talent and hard work. The Nursery and Kindergarten students presented a delightful performance on the popular song-"If you are happy and you know it..." bringing smiles to the faces of all present. They were led by students of Grade I, namely Aasmilan and Harshali! Next, the students of grades I, II and III enthralled the audience with their energetic dance move on the peppy song- "Colours of life!". It was followed by a play adaptation of the enchanting story of Dorothy and her friends, based on the book "The Wonderful wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum; featuring talented young actors- Shivika Sachan of grade II as Dorothy, Rudra Yadav of Grade III as Scarecrow, Satyam Shree of Grade II as Tin man and Abhi Yadav of Grade III as the lion. The prelude to the play was enacted by Grade I students, Aditri Chauhan and Ayaan Sahani
The Director and Headmistress presented a memento and a Jade plant to the chief guest as a token of gratitude. Ms. Gayatri then unveiled our first edition of the school's magazine.

Guru Nanak Jayanti Special Assembly- 24th November 2023

Guru Nanak Dev ji was the first of the ten Sikh Gurus and founder of Sikhism. His birth anniversary is observed as "Gurupurab" accross the globe.To celebrate this auspicious festival,Hillwoods Academy, Noida held a Special Assembly on 24th November,2023. The Assembly began with Ms.Saumya encouraging the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The school choir sang a melodious shabad chanting "Nanak Aaya" in reverence of the guru. The assembly concluded with a screening of a short film on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Bookaroo Festival- 24th November 2023

On 24th November,23 our school embarked on an enriching excursion to Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, where students were treated to the delights of the prestigious Bookaroo festival. Under the shade of the Kahani tree students were captivated by the enchanting storytelling sessions of various authors. The lively interactions with the authors ignited the spark of literary passion within the young minds, leaving them with memories that would forever be etched in their hearts. This extraordinary excursion marked a memorable chapter on the lives of these budding bookworms.

Children's Day Special Assembly- 17th November 2023

On a bright and cheerful Friday, November 17 2023, Hillwoods Academy, Noida transformed into a vibrant hub of celebration as the school commemorated children's day with a special assembly. Ms. Neha captivated the students by unveiling the rich history and significance of children's day. Students of grade-2 and grade-3 shared what they want to become in future and why. The headmistress ma'am addressed the students with her enlightening words, weaving a tapestry of motivation and guidance. She distributed the certificates to the winners of Rangoli and poster making competition held online on 10th November'23. In rangoli competition- Prateek Swain of grade-2 bagged the 1st prize and in poster making- Rudra Yadav of grade-3 bagged 1st prize. The assembly concluded with the performance of the students on the popular song- "Bum Bum Bole", leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all present.

Special Assembly on Road Safety

A special assembly on traffic signals and road safety was conducted today, 31st October'23 by Nursery, KG and Grade-3. During the assembly, an interesting thought and fact was shared by Shivika Sachan and Aaradhya Sharma of grade-2. The KG students creatively explained traffic lights through a rhyme, capturing everyone's attention. Grade-3 students enlightened the students about the various road signs. Ms. Kanchan comprehensively explained Road signs, Traffic rules and Road safety measures. The assembly concluded on a musical note with a lively traffic signals song presented by nursery students.

Dussehra Cultural Programme Event- 14th October 2023

Dussehra Cultural Programme was held at Hillwoods Academy on October 14th, 2023, blending tradition and talent seamlessly. Ms. Ayushi and Ms. Brajesh extended a warm welcome to parents and hosted the event. The event commenced with a soul-stirring Durga Stuti presented by the students of Grades K.G., I, II and III. Following this, the epic tale of Ramayana came to life through captivating performances by students from Grades I, II, and III. Ivaan Sahani of Grade II portrayed Shri Ram, Satyam Shree of Grade II as Laxman, Shivika Sachan of Grade II as Sita Ji, Abhi Yadav of Grade III as Hanuman Ji, Rudra Yadav of Grade III as Ravan, and Divyansh Kumar of Grade II as Jatayu. Our youngest stars from Pre-Nursery to KG dazzled in their festive attire, enchanting the audience with their adorable dance performances. Ms. Harshita, the Headmistress, addressed the parents, commending the students for their endearing performances! The event concluded with an interactive Dussehra quiz for parents, showcasing their knowledge about the festival. All in all, it was a splendid event, leaving everyone with cherished memories.

Visit to Botanical Garden Noida

Moving beyond classroom learning, Hillwoods Academy organized a valuable educational trip to Botanical Garden Noida. The students have the opportunity to observe many things and understand different aspects of things around them. A student visit to the botanical garden farm provided an insightful exploration into the world of diverse plant life. The trip aimed to enhance the understanding of biodiversity and sustainable agriculture practices. Exploring the botanical garden was a sensory delight. The vibrant colors of diverse flowers and the array of fragrances created an immersive experience. Informative plaques added depth to the visit, offering insights into plant species and ecosystems. The peaceful ambiance, coupled with the variety of flora, made it a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. The experience fostered a deeper appreciation for the intricate balance within ecosystems and highlighted the role of botanical gardens in education and environmental awareness. Overall, the botanical garden provided a harmonious blend of education and tranquility.

GANDHI JAYANTI 2 October 2023

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti , Hillwoods Academy Noida organized a special assembly to commemorate the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Students reenacted the historic Dandi March, a symbolic event during India's freedom struggle led by Mahatma Gandhi. The students also shared some thoughts and facts about Mahatma Gandhi. Ms. Ayushi delivered an inspiring speech about Mahatma Gandhi 's life and teaching. Our esteemed headmistress shared her insights on Gandhi ji's principles and their significance in today's world. The assembly was concluded by a song- De di hame azadi......... by our school choir.

National Sports Day

The Hillwoods Academy, Noida celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy.The event took place on 29th August'23 and saw the participation of teachers and students from grades Nursery,K.G.,1,2 and 3. The day was filled with various exciting activities that promoted physical fitness and team spirit among the participants.The event kicked off with a Zumba session that set the tone for the day. Students and teachers grooved to the energetic music, showcasing their dance moves and embracing the joy of fitness.Following the Zumba session a yoga session was held to promote mental and physical wellbeing. One of the highlights of the day was the relay races that encourage teamwork, coordination and healthy competition among the participants. The winner of Inter House Relay Race was Nalanda house which was lead by Rudra yadav of Grade. - 3 , Divyansh Kumar of Grade- 2 and Ayaan Sahani of Grade- 1 After races, the fancy dress parade was organised which added a creative touch to the event.Students dressed up as their favourite athletes,showcasing their admiration for sports icon.After the parade, basketball matches were held.The matches not only showcased the skills of both students and teachers but also reinforced the bond between them. The National Sports day celebration at Hillwoods Academy Noida successfully highlighted the importance of sports, fitness and team work while fostering a sense of unity among the school's community.

Open House Pre-Primary School

Hillwoods Academy, Noida organised an open house for Pre- nursery, Nursery and K.G, where parents and teachers had an interesting session and some fun bonding games. In Nursery and Pre- Nursery they played "How much do I know you?"; whereas in K.G, Dumb Charades and Rhyme Recitation were organised for parents and students.

Open House Primary School

Hillwoods Academy ,Noida organized Open House Day for Grades- I, II and III with the primary objective of fostering strong relationships between parents, students and teachers. The day began with a warm welcome by the Headmistress madam ,emphasizing the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers for a child's holistic development. Parents and children played games. The games included-Musical Chairs and Tracing The Word which tested both creativity and team work. There was healthy interaction between parents and teachers in which they shared their concerns and parents got insights into their child's classroom experiences. The Open House Day successfully achieved its goal of strengthening the bond between parents,students and teachers. The event fostered a sense of unity within the school community and highlighted the collaborative efforts required for a child's growth and success.

Freedom Fighter Fashion Show

The Hillwoods Academy School, Noida organized a unique and inspiring event. Freedom Fighter Fashion Show. The aim of this event was to pay tribute to the brave individuals who played a crucial role in India's struggle for Independence and to educate about their sacrifices and contributions. The students from class Nursery and K.G. dressed up as an iconic Freedom Fighters, bringing history to life through their attire and brief presentation. The event began with an introduction by the teachers, emphasizing the significance of remembering and honoring those who fought for India's freedom. Students took turns walking down the runway,each accompanied by a brief presentation about their chosen freedom fighter and they shared slogans. The winners were awarded with a certificate.

Independence Day 2023

The Hillwoods Academy, Noida celebrated the 77th Independence Day of our nation with great fervor and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced at 8:35 a.m. with students , parents , teachers and other staff. The school was beautifully adorned with tricolour decorations, including flags, ribbons, flower rangoli and tricolor balloons. Ceremony commenced in the following manner. First of all Ms. Soma performed the National song. After which our National Flag was unfurled.It was followed by the National Anthem. The ceremony was concluded by an inspiring speech by Ms.Ayushi, the school coordinator.

Eco Seminar

The Eco- seminar held on 1st August'23 at Hillwoods Academy, Noida aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and discuss potential solutions to create a sustainable future for all. The guest of the day Ms. Benita Sen, motivated students to protect their environment with the help of games,dance,songs and stories. Students of Grade KG,I,II and III sang a song giving a message to protect our environment in different ways.Students of grade I and II prepared a dance on the song Mother Earth.All the students and teachers took the pledge to be Green Warriors! Ms. Benita Sen, was mesmerised to see different projects made by the students from waste materials.Each and every project was different.Children were shown the video clip- The Giving Tree in which they learned the importance of trees. The seminar concluded with some motivational words and suggestions by the guest to keep our environment clean and green.

Yoga Day

Yoga Day was celebrated to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the practice of Yoga. The day holds significant global importance as it fosters unity, peace, and harmony while raising awareness about the numerous benefits of Yoga.

Earth Day

Our Earth Day Celebration was organized with the goal of engaging the community, educating people about environmental issues, and inspiring positive actions to protect our planet.

Helpers Day

Helpers' Day event aimed to acknowledge the efforts of various helpers such as healthcare workers, educators, sanitation workers, volunteers, and more. It was a day of gratitude and recognition for those who often go unnoticed but play crucial roles in making our community a better place.

Investiture Ceremony

The investiture ceremony was held at Hillwoods Academy on 18 July 2023, where the newly elected student council members and other school leaders were officially bestowed with their responsibilities. The event aimed to acknowledge their commitment, leadership skills, and to instil a sense of responsibility among the students. The ceremony was conducted with great enthusiasm and was attended by students and faculty members.

The investiture ceremony proceeded with the investiture of the newly elected school leaders.Our HeadMistress conferred the badges to our Head girl and Head boy followed by bestowing the badges to Sports captain , House prefects , Eco club Incharge, Welfare Incharge, Discipline Incharge, Assembly incharge and Assembly Vice Incharge. After bestowing badges to all the elected students with respective house mistress and other Incharges pledged to uphold the values of the institution and fulfill their duties with sincerity and integrity.

The investiture ceremony served as a platform to recognize and empower student leaders, fostering a sense of responsibility and dedication among the students. It encouraged the students to actively participate in school activities and contribute positively to the growth and development of the institution. The event concluded on an inspiring note, instilling a sense of pride and motivation among all students.

Founder's Day

The Founders Day event was a remarkable celebration of our school's history, values and achievements. The event aimed to reconnect with the school's founding principles, honour its founders and inspire students to continue the legacy of excellence.

We conducted a quiz for grades- 2 and 3. The quiz was about pertaining information about the school. Second activity was expressions, Grade 2 and 3 students wrote about things that they like about the school.

The events positive feedback indicates the importance of preserving and celebrating our roots, ensuring that the school's history remains alive and continues to inspire future generations.

Mango Day

The mango Day event was a resounding success, with a high turnout and enthusiastic participation from our students. The event focused on celebrating the king of fruits - MANGO, through various activities , entertainment and educational sessions. All aspects of the event were well received, engaging participants of all ages and fostering a positive and lively atmosphere.
